One of my favorite anytime salads is this … baby arugula and pan-grilled grape salad with cashew cheese balls, toasted sliced almonds, and lemony-pepper grilled grape vinaigrette. Not only does it have one of the longest salad names ever, it’s seriously one of the tastiest ever. Luckily, so it won’t be so difficult to remember the name of this, I gave it a shortened-up nickname: “anytime arugula and grilled grape salad!” That better?!

I “crave” a hearty breakfast sandwich probably about once a week. How ‘bout you? Though, I never seem to make the same exact sandwich twice since I like to keep it highly seasonal and use whatever ingredients I have on hand. But there are a few things that are consistent … my breakfast sandwich always includes an organic egg (sometimes two!), lots of veggies, and plenty of flavor. It’s basically a loose inspiration of a fast food breakfast sandwich, but you’ll never find preservative-laden sausage or Canadian bacon or overly-processed American cheese on mine … and they’re not missed!   This version includes sage flowers, which kinda provide a sausage-like flavor essence. Here’s a twist on pasta salad that’ll be a highlight to any meal. It’s based on whole-wheat orzo and fresh baby arugula and provides a memorable balance of flavors, textures, and colors, along with a naturally sweet pop of California prunes. (Hint: Prunes offer potential bone health benefits!) Altogether, this salad is a delightful way to get fruits and veggies.
